Born in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia in 1935, Raised with strong values and old-fashioned pride. Delivered newspapers, served your country, then took a Bride The next few years to follow would be quite a ride.
Four bouncing babies came one after the other, two little girls with two big brothers. Bradley Mechanical was built, it wasn't just luck skill, sweat, hard work with Clarence and of course a red truck!
Honesty, integrity and reputation, you set the bar. Myrtle Beach vacations... four kids in the car? Little league coaching and working the concessions stand, NASCAR, college basketball, reading newspapers with rough hands.
Before long the grandchildren began to come, Many hours of babysitting just for fun! As they grew you supported their endeavors. If they had a recital or a game, you went, wherever!
A triple bypass, fixed-up shoulder, a new knee too, A few repairs left you as good as new! Fix it? of course! just need Duct tape and legal pads. Let's not forget Bubba and Satin, our two black labs!
A mentor and friend and a story for all. Some say you could even talk to the wall. You are respected, loved and cherished by many. You are our Dad, Gran, Grandaddy & Grandgetty.
Going forward is hard for us to imagine how. Life will be different for each of us now. Your legacy and love will remain in our lives in a big way. Rest now faithful servant we'll see you again someday.
Dempsey L. Bradley Sr., 84, founder of Bradley Mechanical Co. and U.S. Army veteran, went to be with our Lord on October 6, 2019. He was preceded in death by his mother, Nettie I. Perkins; sister, Billy Jean Hubbard. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Gayle; children, Brad (Sue), Keith, Karen (Clarke), Ronda (Bruce); grandchildren, Jacob, Madison, Rachel, Sarah, Gage, Caroline, Kathryn, Morgan; great-grandchildren; brother, Charles Perkins (Sandra); nieces and nephews.
